What it Means to be an OpenText Company
In December of 2019, OpenText acquired Carbonite and Webroot to help bring comprehensive cyber resilience solutions to the enterprise, managed service provider, business, and consumer markets. We're proud to have joined the OpenText family and are excited to share the benefits of this acquisition with our customers.
The Same Webroot. Just... Better.
As a separate division of OpenText focused on the cyber resilience needs of businesses (SMBs), managed service providers (MSPs), and individual consumers, Carbonite and Webroot will continue to provide the same innovation and great service we're known for. But now that we're backed by OpenText, we'll also have more opportunities to accelerate development and grow our services.
You can still expect:
- 100% commitment to MSPs, SMBs, and consumers
- A business model that prioritizes customer success
- Laser focus on efficacy, automation and integration
- Dedicated customer and partner support

Full-Scale Cyber Resilience
Cyber resilience is a set of methods, best practices and technologies that mitigate risk within your business processes and workflows to protect your organization from your own technology and the people who would try to exploit it.
Think of it as "digital fitness". It's the ability to prevent cyberattacks and data loss, and recover quickly if the unthinkable happens.
