Instructions:

To install or update the Webroot Corporate Edition Server, follow these steps:

*Please note that that a SQL installation must be present to complete the installation.*

1. Close all Windows programs that may be open on your computer.

2. Download the setup file to your computer by clicking the link below.

3. http://sales.webroot.com/downloads/registered/links/EnterpriseRegSetup_1.zip

4. This zipped file contains the Webroot Server Setup file and separate folders for release notes and the manuals in English (/en), Japanese (/ja), French (/fr), and German (/de).

5. Extract these setup files to a folder on your computer.

6. Locate the Installation Guide in one of the language folders. Double-click to open the PDF file. We recommend that you read these instructions as you install the Webroot Corporate Edition components.

7. To install the Webroot Server components, double-click the WebrootServerSetup.exe file.

An installation wizard leads you through the installation.

If you are updating from a previous version, you will not need to reenter your key code. If this is the first time you are installing the server, you need to enter your keycode during installation.

Once you've installed the Webroot Server components, open the Admin Console (select Start > All Programs > Webroot [Corporate Edition] > Admin Console) and then configure the Webroot Clients. See the Installation Guide for details.

To update your Webroot Corporate Edition clients, we recommend performing a manual installation. Follow these steps:

1. Download the zip file (client upgrade package).

2. Stop the Update Service by opening the Admin Console and navigating to the Server Status panel and clicking the Stop button under for the Update Service under the Webroot Services section.

3. Extract the contents of the zip file to the “Downloads Folder”. The “Downloads Folder” is specified on the Administration -> Configuration -> System Settings page in your Admin Console.

4. Restart the Update Service.

5. The update should appear within the Updates -> Update History page of the Admin Console. If the update does not appear then please recheck that the update was placed in the correct Downloads Folder and/or that the update has been downloaded correctly.

6. From the Admin Console function tree, select Administration > Updates > Manual Install.

7. The Manual Install panel opens. It shows the current client groups and the available updates. Please note that the Manual Install menu will be blank until the Webroot update server validates the file, a process that will take a few minutes to an hour.

8. Once the update is available in the Manual Install menu, you can drag and drop the update to the middle column to apply the update to your network or groups.To install the update on all client workstations in the company, drag the update to the company name at the top of the group tree. If you need to remove an update type from a group, select it and click select Unassign Update at the top of the panel.*

The next time each client workstation contacts the company server (based on the polling schedule), it will install the update.

*Please note that client version 3.5.1.5088 should be used for any Windows 2000 workstations. We recommend you place these workstations in their own group and disallow major and minor updates as later versions of the client are not supported on this OS.
