Webroot® Server Antivirus Protection
Protect the entirety of your business or clients’ environment. Secure servers with a stronger, smarter solution.
Problem
Modern IT environments involve a complex ecosystem of different devices. While it’s important to secure all of them, one of the most crucial pieces of your infrastructure is often overlooked: servers. Just one malicious file or process can spread throughout the corporate network, causing potentially devastating impacts to business operations and critical systems. Businesses need intelligent, reliable security that can protect servers without draining system resources, so their infrastructure stays secure and available.
Solution
Webroot® Business Endpoint Protection was designed to protect all the endpoint devices in the modern environment, including Windows Server, Virtualization, Terminal Server, and Citrix environments. Because Webroot threat protection is fast, effective, and lightweight, you can rest assured that your critical infrastructure is protected and running at optimum levels, even under the heaviest load conditions. And because Endpoint Protection protects Windows® and Mac® computers too, you can manage your whole IT ecosystem from one convenient console.

Frequently asked questions
-
Does a server need antivirus?
The short answer: yes. The longer answer: a server is just another type of endpoint, like computers and mobile devices. The difference is that a server interacts more regularly with multiple other devices. That means if a server gets infected, the infection could more easily proliferate throughout your network.
A good rule of thumb for business cybersecurity overall is that, for a given endpoint, if a user can interact with it or content can be uploaded, downloaded, or otherwise exchanged on it, then it needs security.

How does antivirus for servers work?
You can deploy Webroot Business Endpoint Protection to servers using a variety of methods, depending on your business requirements and network size, just as you would deploy on a laptop or desktop computer. These options include deploying the executable installation file, using MSI deployment options, or using Windows Group Policy Object (GPO.)
Following deployment, you will be able to view the server’s security status and manage its security settings from within the Webroot management console, just as you would with a regular computer. In the console, you can configure scanning, alerts, reporting, and more to your specifications.
